Nadiya Fortunatova

Nadiya is a 2004 Olympian and two-time Grand Prix World Cup Champion in Epee and Foil. She has also medaled at the World University Games and numerous World Cup events. At GSFA, she leads the Women’s Program, developing fencers from beginner to elite and guiding students to success at local, national, and international competitions.
Alex (Oleksiy) Fortunatov
Head Coach, Men's Foil Program
Alex is a former Ukrainian National Champion and member of the National Fencing Team, representing Ukraine at World Cups, World Championships, and European Championships. Since 2008, he has coached in the U.S., building competitive youth programs that produce medalists at all levels.
Both Nadiya and Alex hold Master’s Degrees in Physical Education and Olympic Sports from the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine (Kiev).

Anton Zakharikov is a former Russian National Champion in foil fencing. A lifelong competitor trained in Russia's elite fencing system, Anton brings world-class technical foundations and a deep competitive background to his coaching. He now coaches at GSFA, working with athletes at all levels from beginners to competitive youth.

Akhmad Solikhojiev was international competitor representing Uzbekistan on the FIE World Circuit. He placed top-8 at the Asian Fencing Championship and was part of the GSFA team that won the gold medal in Senior Team Men's Foil at the 2024 USA Fencing National Championships. Akhmad brings elite-level competitive experience to his coaching, with a style rooted in the strong Central Asian fencing tradition.
