Our goal at GSFA is to make fencing fun and engaging for young athletes, sparking a lifelong interest in the sport. Through expert coaching and structured programs, we help students build strong fundamentals, develop competitive skills, and achieve success in local, national, and international fencing.
Our beginner classes are perfect for kids with less than six months of experience. Students learn stance, footwork, basic attacks and parries, and fencing rules. Lessons build coordination and confidence, creating a foundation in the sport.
Intermediate classes build speed, agility, and stamina while introducing electrical scoring and group bouts. Students start learning competitive strategies and are encouraged to join local tournaments to grow their skills and confidence.
Advanced training is for serious youth athletes aiming for national or international competition. Classes focus on advanced footwork, complex actions, and strategy, along with the mental focus needed to achieve top results.
Private lessons are the fastest way for fencers to improve their skills and gain a competitive edge. In one-on-one sessions with our Olympian and national-level coaches, students receive personalized instruction tailored to their experience level and goals.
During private lessons, fencers can:
Private lessons are available for all skill levels, from beginner to competitive fencer. Pairing group classes with private lessons is the most effective way to build skills and confidence in fencing.
Our recommended training tracks are designed to guide fencers from their first lesson to elite competition success. Each track combines group classes for bouting experience and private lessons for focused skill development.
